About me
My name is Jessica Foster (formerly Jessica Pelletier, aka JP). I am a Journeyman electrician with seventeen years of experience wiring commercial, industrial and residential projects all over the United States.
I studied Electrical Engineering at Keene State College in New Hampshire before realizing I was meant to be doing hands-on mechanical work. I then completed a five-year electrical apprenticeship through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers JATC in San Francisco. I worked as an apprentice, journeyman, and foreman for twelve years in California. Eventually I decided it was time to see where in the country I belonged, so I sold my house and moved into a fifth-wheel camper, which I hauled around the country to wherever the work was booming. I explored and temporarily lived in lots of different types of places-- city and rural, well-known and never-heard-of, high-paid and low-paid. I worked alongside electricians from everywhere who were doing the same.
In 2022 I came to Arizona "just for winter" but fell in love and decided to stay. This seemed like the time to take the leap and open my own shop.
A majority of my years of work experience has been in commercial and industrial settings, so this new focus on residential is a big pivot. I love the opportunity to provide immediate improvement to someone's living space. It is really enjoyable interacting directly with customers and helping homeowners learn more about electrical safety and the systems in their homes. I have bought, improved, and sold several of my own older, fixer-upper homes during my travels, and am enthusiastic about participating in the remodeling projects of other homeowners.
